WICES often does special projects that impact the Chippewa Valley Community. Currently, students are participating in a course which educates others about pollinators and works to create environments to feed and shelter them.
Pollinators
In the "Civic Agency and Environmental Stewardship: Building Community Capacity to Steward Pollinator Biodiversity" course, students learn about the important work pollinators do and how humans can aid them. The students are keeping very busy, and you can read more about them here. If you would like to learn about this too, be sure to come to the Planting Fiesta on Saturday, May 6 from 1-4 PM at the Phoenix Community Gardens in Eau Claire, WI! Food provided.
The associated community group, Partnerships for Pollinators, has a Facebook page to check out too!
