In its most basic sense, Higherground is a student-run night club. But we are more than just loud music and flashing lights. Higherground functions in three ways:
an eatery, a lounge and a night club.

Throughout the day, Higherground offers a variety of food choices. Featuring chicken tenders, popcorn shrimp, mini corn dogs, onion rings, fries,cheddar nuggets, pizzas, floats, shakes and more, we can satisfy your hunger and cravings. As students, we understand the difference between edible and enjoyable food, and we think you'll like what we have to offer.We accept cash, Blugold and declining balance. As a lounge, nothing compares to what Higherground has to offer: computers and televisions, Rock Band and Guitar Hero, billiards, ping-pong and foosball, board games, an abundance of tables and chairs, and comfy couches. On top of that, we feature a growing menu, with a variety of appetizer and food options, whenever we're open and during special events. Higherground also offers free popcornthroughout the day. All of this in one place! Do your homework, or take a break from it. It's up to you--it's your lounge. In what we offer musically, however, is where our passion lies. At Higherground'sClub Mercury dance party, you will not just hear the same "great hits" you hear on the radio. We aim to create an atmosphere with a beat so good, your body can't ignore it. You can expect to hear music that drives your mind and body near to the point of insanity, and you can expect to see a DJ who has already been taken away by the music. |
When we are not losing control to the heart pounding music, we're losing it to the raw and real sounds of live bands. So if you're not into the "dance club" scene, don't despair. We welcome all music-loving fools to take advantage of the club and let our music take you wherever you want to go.
