Many courses in addition to mathematics courses have a math prerequisite. Please read this information carefully to determine if you need a math placement test.
- If you have received credit for Math 109, 111, 112, 113 or 114 you do not need to take the placement test.
- If you have received credit for a remedial course---- Math 10 or 20--- you are not required to take a placement test, but may choose to do so to be more accurately placed into courses at UW-Eau Claire.
- If you have received credit for Math 104 or 246 and do not need to go on in math, you do not need to take the placement test, but will need a prerequisite over-ride to take such courses as Economics or Chemistry.
- If you have received credit for Math 106 or for a math elective (Math905L) you need to take the placement test.
