Update on the Wisconsin Covenant
- The Wisconsin Covenant has been included in Governor Walker's 2011-2013 Executive Budget.
- The budget states that students who satisfy the Wisconsin Covenant eligibility requirements will receive the Wisconsin Covenant Scholarship Grants, as promised.
- Confirmed Wisconsin Covenant Scholars will be receiving grants based on their federally-defined financial need.
- The budget also states that the Wisconsin Covenant will be limited to students who have signed the pledge before September 30, 2011.
- The program will admit no additional students after that date.
- Therefore, current ninth graders are encouraged to sign the pledge prior to the deadline.
- Students that sign and fulfill the pledge requirements will be eligible to receive the Wisconsin Covenant Scholars Grant in the future.
