A well-conducted intercollegiate athletics program, based on sound educational principles and practices, fulfills the educational mission of the University by ensuring that every student has an opportunity to be involved in competitive athletics as a participant or spectator. The educational development of the participating student-athlete is its primary concern. The women's program consists of varsity teams in basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, and volleyball. The men's program consists of varsity teams in basketball, cross country, football, golf, ice hockey, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, and wrestling.
