Student Affairs Committees

Current staff members are always encouraged to get involved in one or more of the six committees withing Student Affairs.

Awards and Recognition Committee:

This committee works to find ways to recognize colleaques throughout the year and plans the year-end recognition reception for Student Affairs and Academic Affairs units reporting to Debbie Gough, Robert Knight, and the Chancellor.

Wellness Committee:

This committee meets to plan initiatives designed to encourage health and wellness for our staff throughout campus. They will meet with Vicki Funne Reed and Brittany Matti to plan strategies and events during the year.

Student Affairs Assessment Committee:

This committee works with Jodi Thesing-Ritter to identify ways to assess programs, services, and operations in the Division of Student Affairs.

Professional Development Committee:

This committee identifies topics of interest to be offered to the university community. Each member of the committee plans one workshop session, invites a presenter, advertises the event, and attends the session.

Alcohol Safety Team:

This committee plays a vital role in identifying issues relating to alcohol policies, programs, issues, and strategies. The committee is made up of students, staff members, and faculty, with three to five sub-committees that meet throughout the year.

Comprehensive Leadership Committee:

This group identifies ways to serve the needs of faculty, staff, and students in the area of leadership development. Some of the areas of focus include the Leadership Fellows program, Summer Leadership Institute, OrgSync Portfolio, and leadership development ideas to be addressed throughout the year.
