The Women's Center component of the Women's & LGBTQ Resource Center reflects the vibrancy of UW-Eau Claire's institutional commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusiveness. Whether academic or entertaining (or both!) the events and programming that flow from this dynamic office offer students, faculty, and staff numerous opportunities to help shape the campus environment in a way that honors women's past, present, and future.
Whether creating a t-shirt for the annual Clothesline Project, participating in photo shoots for the Love Your Body campaign, or attending one of the many article discussion lecture series, the UW-Eau Claire community wholeheartedly embraces the challenges of combating gender inequity in its various manifestations. With an emphasis on collaboration, the Women's Center actively reaches out across institutional barriers, in an effort to make women's issues everyone's issue.
The Women's & LGBTQ Resource Center (located in Schofield 34) serves as a safe space for women and members of the LGBTQ community, while also maintaining a collection of books, videos, magazines, pamphlets (etc) for general perusal and/or use.
