Dr. Krause has eight years of experience working with persons with various disabilities. She also has three years of experience serving as the administrator of a university program housed in a women's correctional facility.

Dr. Krause is interested in increasing the social work knowledge base of effective practice with persons with disabilities. Her dissertation project was a study of the role achievement and life satisfaciton of women who have physical disabilities. While employed at UWEC, she performed a qualitative student/faculty investigation of how persons with mental health disabilities view their social work services.

In her free time, she loves to shop for and read antique books that reflect women's history. She also enjoys creative writing.
