Developmental Disabilities

Social workers exert efforts with people who have cerebral palsy, autism, epilepsy, mental retardation, and other conditions in order to assist in their adjustment and social functioning. Services provided to the client and their families include counseling, case management, basic training, referral to community resources, occupational training and placement, assessing needs, and educational programming.
