Transportation

Between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 8:50 p.m. Monday through Thursday and between 7:30 a.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Parking and Transportation Services operates a campus conveyance service for students with permanent or temporary disabilities. Travel between Upper and Lower campus, and shuttle between academic buildings is available. Students can arrange on-campus transportation by calling 836-2544. Individuals with permanent disabilities who are scheduling campus transportation for the entire semester should contact Parking and Transportation as soon as they have registered for classes.

Monday through Saturday, students can ride all City of Eau Claire buses free of charge by showing a Blugold ID card. All buses are low-floored, ramp-equipped. Hours of operation, routes and schedules are available at http://www.eauclairewi.gov/departments/transit.

If you are unable to ride the city buses due to the nature of your disability, the City of Eau Claire also provides a paratransit service. This service is demand-response and door-to-door, utilizing a fleet of lift-equipped passenger vans. Passengers for paratransit service must complete an application to become certified to access this transportation system.

Students requiring this service should contact the Services for Students with Disabilities Office for an application and further information. Once the certification process is completed through Eau Claire Transit, students may call Eau Claire Transit at 839-5111 to schedule their rides.
