Learn how to present your skills and experiences in a way that will enhance your chances of being called for an interview. Bring in a version of your resume or cover letter for editing and critiquing. If you haven't written a draft yet, stop in to get your resume started.

Planning in advance and using a budget reduces your worry about money and allows you to focus on classes. In this workshop we will hear from students who have learned how to successfully pay their bills and avoid debt and credit card overload. We will talk about the Financial Aid process and FAFSA, as well as scholarship opportunities. You will walk away with a personal and practical budget to help you manage your money!

Developed by the Gallup Organization, the Strengths Finder assessment measures 34 areas of talent and helps you identify your five main talent areas. This session will demonstrate how understanding your own talents can help you set goals to achieve career, academic, and personal success.
Planning for Priority Registration

It seems like spring semester just started and you already have to think about fall classes! Do you feel prepared for Priority Registration? Classes will be posted online on Monday, March 5, and we will meet the following day to review the registration process, advanced search options, and the online planner. Registering early allows you the full choice of course options, and gives you the chance to select classes at times you prefer that work with your daily routine and learning preferences. Come and share class ideas with friends. Be prepared to register early on April 6!

Make sure that you qualify for the most financial aid possible by submitting your FAFSA on time. Held in a computer lab, this workshop will answer your questions and help you complete the FAFSA on line. Note: Please bring your parents' W-2s and tax forms, your W-2's and tax form, your FAFSA password and PIN (will be same as last year).

Disability Disclosure and Employment

This workshop focuses on important disability topics that may apply to you now or in the future. What's the ADA (Americans with Disability Act) and Section 504? How do I disclose my disability to an employer? Learn about effective self-advocacy skills, proper disclosure, self-awareness, disability awareness, and most importantly your rights as an individual with a disability.
