AIM Academic Advising Services

Vicky Thomas, Advising Coordinator for Project AIM

A Message from Vicky:

Earning a college degree is an admirable accomplishment, and I can help you plan your program.  I am familiar with the majors and minors at UW-Eau Claire and can help undeclared AIM students find classes where you can explore your interests.  For students with an advisor in your major, I can help you decipher the general education requirements and class options.  If you have specific concerns and needs related to your style of learning, we can discuss manageable class sequencing and combinations of courses.  Together we will interpret your degree audit and plan for your graduation.

Here are some of the advising services available:

  • Navigating the course registration system
  • Changing your schedule
  • Finding your personal education information on CampS
  • Assisting you with the steps for completing Service Learning
  • Locating scholarships and completing applications
  • Discussing possible future graduate school opportunities
  • Involving you in the Mentoring program
  • Addressing questions related to financial literacy
  • Providing referral information to other campus offices
  • Listening to your ideas and concerns
  • Sending you e-mails about campus events
  • Offering workshops that address common concerns
  • Helping you find leadership opportunities and join clubs
  • Looking for volunteer opportunities or campus employment
  • Assisting with FAFSA completion
Excellence. Our Measure. Our Motto. Our Goal.
