Dr. Rose Battalio and Dr. J. Todd Stephens presented "Teaching and Supporting Behavioral Skills Generalization: What Might Madeline Hunter Suggest?" at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Special Education Conference on February 23, 2008.
Dr. Rose Battalio will present a Faculty Forum entitled "Expanding Boundaries: The Impact of Special Education in the Scotland Program" on February 20, 12:10-12:50 in the President's Room, Davies Center.
Dr. Rose Battalio presented at The Association of Independent Liberal Arts Colleges for Teacher Education 2008 Annual Meeting & Conference on February 7 in New Orleans, LA. "Educators as Collaborative Leaders: The Transition from Concept to Reality" was presented along with Bob Hollon, Deborah Pattee and Todd Lenz.
Dr. Joe Morin was awarded a Small Research Project Grant in the amount of $325 entitled "Perceptions of 1st-year teachers' preparation to assume collaborative roles and responsibilities."
Dr. Joe Morin presnted a Factulty Forum entitled "Why is Learning Math so Difficult for Some Elementary Students? Could it be the Language?" on November 14.

Dr. Vicki Snider participated in the Authors Celebration on October 3, 2007 for her book "Myths and Misconceptions About Teaching: What Really Happens in the Classroom" Rowman & Littlefield, 2006.
Dr. Rose Battalio was awarded a Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program Grant in the amount of $2,700. Her proposal entitled "Expanding Boundaries: The Impact of a Scottish Educational Immersion Experience on Cultural and Educational perceptions of Special Education Preservice Teachers" included a student collaborator, Laura Johnson.
