Cathy Thorsen attended the 2012 ATE Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX on February 11-15 and presented the following:
- Digital Storytelling in Teacher Education Program: A Method for Enhancing Reflective Practice
- Affecting Change: Promoting Cultural Competence in Pre-Service Teachers through Digital Storytelling and Critical Reflection
- The Story of Disproportionality as Told by a Collaborative Culturally Responsive Coalition
Cathy Thorsen wrote a review for the book Theoretical Perspectives on American Indian Education: New Analyses of Ongoing Barriers to American Indian Academic Success that was printed in Multicultural Perspectives, 13:4, 234-238.

Dr. Rose Battalio and Dr. Angela Dalhoe are presenting their reserach "Supporting the Future: Mentoring First Year Special Education Teachers as a Method to Sustain Qualified and Effective Practitioners" at the Teacher Education Division of Council for Exceptional Children on November 10-12, 2011 in Austin, TX.
