Title: Childcare

Community Partner: Harvestime Church

Project Details: Students are invited to be a part of a childcare team. To supervise children from ages Infants - 5 during Wednesday nights Life Groups and Mid-Week Services. There are special events or services which will be communicated as they are scheduled and needed.

Title: Social Media Intern

Community Partner: Chippewa Area Mentor Program

Project Details:Do you spend a lot of time browsing and posting on different social media sites? Do you like engaging with others through websites like Facebook? Wouldn't it be great if you could complete your service-learning project by managing and creating content for a business Facebook page? The Chippewa Area Mentor Program is offering an opportunity for you to do just that! The Chippewa Area Mentor Program is seeking a diligent, motivated, and creative individual with strong knowledge and understanding of how to manage a business Facebook page. Responsibilities: Manage Facebook account daily Ability to write in an engaging way and communicate well with our audience Create compelling content that will be shared This position is remote; the intern would need access to a personal computer and internet.

Title: Summer Day Camp Assistant

Community Partner: Beaver Creek Reserve

Project Details: Beaver Creek Reserve runs a Summer Camp program for  children ages 5-10. This year's program will run June 23-27. and we utilize  volunteers to assist as group leaders for the campers, under the direction of  our staff naturalists and camp leaders. Summer camp assistants will be  responsible for supervising a small group of campers and facilitating  programming for those children as they rotate through a variety of  nature-focused activities. A required training for camp volunteers is planned  for June 9th 9:30-11:30am, but training on a different date can be arranged  if necessary.

Title: Summer Nature Center Host

Community Partner: Beaver Creek Reserve

Project Details:Service Learning requirements as Nature Center Hosts will also be able to complete additional projects during their service hours at the Reserve, which can be tailored to the individual experience, passion or field of study (ie, design new games or puzzles for children visiting the nature center, write original content for newsletters or grant proposals, assist with the creation of new volunteer training materials, assisting with social media marketing, etc). Students will meet with the volunteer coordinator and/or executive director to discuss the focus of the service learning project

Title: Butterfly House Interpretive Guide

Community Partner: Beaver Creek Reserve

Project Details: The Beaver Creek Reserve Butterfly House is open annually  from July 5th through Labor Day. The house contains butterflies native to  this region, along with a variety of host and nectar plants. Butterfly House  Guides educate the public about butterflies we see in this area, the native  plants they need to survive, and environmental impacts on butterfly  populations. Guides are also responsible for the care and watering of the  plants in our Butterfly House as needed. This volunteer position is mainly  outdoors. Shifts are 11-3 Mondays through Saturdays and 12-3 on Sundays.

Title: Garden Assistant

Community Partner: Eau Claire County Parks & Recreation

Project Details:This project is directly working with planting and maintaining flowerbeds in downtown Eau Claire in coordination with the City of Eau Claire Volunteer Coordinator. Students will be responsible for watering, weeding, mulching, planting/replanting and maintaining of the flowerbeds with guided direction. Students will report and record what they did in the flowerbeds each visit.
