My name is Holly Solomon, the office and publicity assistant for Service-Learning! This year we have so many exciting ways to get involved with community members through service-learning projects. Below are some highlights from past years, so go ahead, read through them and decide what opportunity is right for you. This year we want to reach over 400,000 hours of service as a campus. Sojourner House - Open Doors, Open Hearts - Serving All...
As I walked in the doors of Sojourner House last week, I was greeted by their friendly director who was excited to share with me what the organization does and given a tour of their facility. Sojourner House is a community homeless shelter in downtown Eau Claire that has a mission to "provide a safe, clean place for single men and women, and to accept and encourage their ambitions or hopes; while continuing their main goal of ensuring guests personal dignity, safety and respect." Aphasia Networking Application: Hazen Helps Bridge the Communication Gap
