Director of Service-Learning
The Director is the chief operating officer for the Center for Service-Learning. Dr. Mowry collaborates with external business, education, community leaders and University administrators, and acts as an ambassador for the needs of non-traditional students. He provides leadership for and coordination of campus-wide service-learning programs, policies and procedures by working closely with the associate/assistant deans, members of the service-learning advisory committee, and representatives of community programs.
Program Associate III / Financial Specialist II
Benita provides administrative support to the CS-L director, ECLIPSE director, AmeriCorps*VISTA and other various grants. She initiates the CS-L marketing and promotion, database management, campus and community relations, financial administration, and office management. Benita welcomes visitors to the CS-L where they assist students in finding service-learning projects as well as updating the Registrar's Office with service-learning requirement completion for graduation. Benita can also be found making service-learning presentations to student groups. Benita also plans and implements the Community Action Fairs (fall & spring) and the annual Service-Learning Recognition Breakfast in April.
Student Office & Publicity Assistant
Dina travels to visit and interview community partners for Center news, researches and writes news stories for Center website, writes press releases for Center, and takes photos of newsworthy items for CS-L publicity/news. She handles many office assistant tasks as well.
Student Office Assistant
Kelsey interacts with peer and professional staff, handles clerical and interoffice tasks and website modification, assists in fielding questions from students, faculty, staff and community partners, makes presentations to classes/groups, and assists program associates and the director with various tasks. She also helps with the bi-annual Community Action Fairs and annual S-L breakfast—plan/attend/speak/
Technical & Office Assistant
The technical assistant works as a liaison for S-L office with LTS to create and make changes to new online system (Ruby on Rails), tests all changes for upcoming "live" releases, trains office staff on system changes, assists and troubleshoots technical problems, runs queries for needed data, handles website modification, assists program associates and director with technical assignments, interacts with peer and professional staff, handles clerical and interoffice tasks, assists in fielding questions from students, faculty, academic staff and community partners, makes presentations to classes/groups, assists with bi-annual Community Action Fairs and annual S-L breakfast—helps attend/speak/setup.
