Welcome to UWEC!

We all want a place where we can go and be understood. We want a close group of friends who ask, "How's it going?" once in a while and really mean it. Sometimes it's nice to be just another face in the crowd, an anonymous person in that biology class that doesn't make sense---a nameless yahoo walking across campus. But let's face it, living your entire life like that gets old. We all want a place where we can go and be understood. We want a close group of friends who ask, "How's it going?" once in a while and really mean it.

We want to help you find that place where you don't have to act or dress or talk a certain way. To get to know people who get excited about the really cool things in your life-the test you studied hard for and got and A on... the boy you had a crush on that asked you out... your roommate finally deciding to pick up his dirty socks. And just as much as you want someone to be excited for you, you want someone to listen when those things don't happen, when you fail the test, when the boy doesn't know your name, or when your roommate apparently has no plan to wash his socks (or any of his clothes!) for an entire semester.

As Student Impact here at UWEC, we have lots of opportunities that are safe, fun places to really get to know a few people, to laugh, to be yourself---to even cry if you have to. One of the best ways we know how to really get to know each other is by studying the Bible---we figure if God made us all, then that instruction book He put together must have stuff in it we can relate to---and that can help us relate with each other.
