9:15 - 10:00am: Educational Session #1

Student Welcome

You're at WIRSA now what? Start your conference off right by attending the Student Welcome. At this session, you will learn what opportunities are available to you through WIRSA and tips to navigate your first conference. This interactive presentation will also give you the opportunity to brush up on your leadership skills and network with peers. Engagement Coordinators are strongly encouraged to attend!

The Secret Behind Outstanding Customer Service

Improving the level of customer service that your department offers can be accomplished by taking several simple, deliberate and intentional steps. We will provide several pointers on how to deliver outstanding customer service, how and what to assess, and then finally making sure that outstanding customer service is delivered throughout your program.

Building a Team the Right Way

Building a high functioning team can pose many challenges. This session will provide tips and ideas for establishing teamwork, using past experiences to grow as a department, and creating a balance between work and life. We will also discuss facing adversity and overcoming it in the workplace. If you are looking to enhance your current team, this session will offer tips to establish a high functioning group.

This interactive session will provide you with the ins and outs of becoming a young professional and how to take the next step. This session also features a panel of young professionals who work around the state and are ready to answer any questions that you may have.

WIRSA joins forces with NACSM

For the first time ever, WIRSA is teaming up with NACSM, the Northland Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine. Both fall conferences happen to fall on the same dates which created the perfect opportunity to collaborate.

WIRSA and NACSM participants are invited to attend educational sessions offered at either conference with two sessions intentionally combined for both groups on Thursday, October 10th
