What Are Intramural Sports?

The Intramural Sports program provides a diverse array of activities for students, faculty, and staff to stay active, create memories, and build friendships through engagement with the university community. All skills levels are welcome.

Intramural sports promote individual and team play in league and tournament formats. Over 60 men’s, women’s, co-rec, and open leagues are offered to students, faculty, and staff who wish to recreate in structured activities. Our staff will strive to further teamwork, respect, fun, and family.  Come as you are and EXPERIENCE Intramurals!

Structured league play will be offered in a block format with two blocks per semester, four blocks per year. One-day tournaments and special events will be interspersed throughout each semester. The format, offerings, and season length will vary depending upon the activity.

IMLeagues Instructions

Mandatory captain’s meetings will be held the Sunday prior to the beginning of each block.

The Intramural Sports program traditionally used a one-time payment made by the captain at the time of team registration, but this year we are moving to a new system, known as the Play Pass. The Play Pass requires individuals to make their own payment to play when they join a roster or create a team. This will remove the team registration burden from the captain who had paid for the whole team in the past.

With the pass options an individual can purchase an annual play pass, a semester play pass, a single sport team pass, or a tournament pass.

Annual Pass - $30

This pass can be purchased for the entire academic year and will allow for unlimited intramural play. Students with this pass can enroll on as many teams as they wish, as long as they follow the individual league rules. When this pass is purchased, there will be no need to purchase any other passes for the entire academic year. The pass expires after playoffs of the second semester of the academic year (May). Participants must have a valid UWEC Blugold ID to participate in Intramurals. No refunds will be issued.

Semester Play Pass - $20

This pass can be purchased for the entire semester and will allow for unlimited semester intramural play. Students with this pass can enroll on as many teams as they want, as long as they follow the individual league rules. When this pass is purchased, there will be no need to purchase any other passes for the entire semester. The semester pass expires after playoffs of the second block or sports in the Fall semester. Participants must have a valid UWEC Blugold ID to participate in Intramurals. No refunds will be issued.

Single Sport Team Pass - $8

This pass can be purchased at any point during the semester and will allow for a student to join one intramural team. Students with this pass can enroll on any team in any league as long as they meet the requirements of the league. When this pass is purchased, a student can join their one team. The pass expires upon joining any single team in intramurals. Participants must have a valid UWEC Blugold ID to participate in Intramurals. Refunds will not be given for a single team pass. One purchase of this pass will count towards a credit on the semester pass if a player chooses to upgrade after an initial purchase of the single team pass. Renewing the single team pass will not count towards continued credits on an upgrade.

Tournament Pass - $5

This pass can be purchased at any point during the year and will allow for a student to participate in one intramural tournament (i.e. non-league). Students with this pass can enroll on any tournament team in any league as long as they meet the requirements of the sport. When this pass is purchased, a student can join their one team. The pass expires upon joining any single team in a designated intramural tournament. Participants must have a valid UWEC Blugold ID to participate in Intramurals. Refunds will not be given for a tournament pass.

All payments will now be done ONLINE at imleagues.com/uwec or in the IMLeagues app. You will be prompted to pay during the registration process.
