Outstanding Graduating Senior Psychology Major Award ($200)
Selection Criteria:
- Fall, Spring, or Summer graduation date
- Psychology GPA of 3.60 or higher; overall GPA of 3.30 or higher
- Excellence in Scholarship (intellectual involvement outside the classroom)
- scholarly papers written outside of class
- papers/posters presented at professional conferences; papers submitted for publication
- active involvement in faculty/student collaborative research; independent research
- Excellence in Service to the University, Department, and/or Community
- outstanding service activities provided to the community
- positions of leadership held in student academic/service organizations (e.g., Psi Chi, Psychology Club)
- outstanding work in an internship
- outstanding work as a student academic apprentice
- Ability to attend Psychology Awards Reception (typically held the Friday night before Spring Commencement)
Outstanding Student Research Award ($100)
Selection Criteria:
- Fall, Spring, or Summer graduation date
- Psychology GPA of 3.60 or higher; overall GPA of 3.30 or higher
- Excellence in Scholarship (intellectual involvement inside and outside the classroom)

- positions of leadership held in student academic/service organizations (e.g., Psi Chi, Psychology Club)
- outstanding work as a student academic apprentice
- outstanding work in a Service-Learning or other service project that extended beyond curricular requirements
- outstanding work in an internship
- Ability to attend Psychology Awards Reception (typically held the Friday night before Spring Commencement)
Early Career Award ($100)
Selection Criteria:
- Freshman or sophomore class ranking
- Psychology GPA of 3.30 or higher; Overall GPA of 3.00 or higher
- Excellence in Scholarship (intellectual involvement inside and outside the classroom)
- papers/posters presented at professional conferences
- active involvement in faculty/student research collaborations; independent research
- scholarly papers written in and out of class
- Excellence in Service to the University, Department, and/or Community
