Admission Requirements:
- Complete the application for graduate admission
- Send in the admission fee
- Send official transcripts
- Complete the Graduate Record Examination General Aptitude Test
- Send in 3 letters of recommendation
- Complete a personal statement
- Come to the campus for a personal interview in March
- Apply for financial aid
Academic Requirements:
- Total undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
- GRE verbal score of 400 or higher
- Note that although GPA and GRE scores are strongly considered, they do not necessarily hold precedent over an applicants experience with children and youth

The application must include the following:
Application Fee
- Send in a $56 application fee with the application for admission
- If you are applying for a second consecutive year the application fee is waived
Transcripts

Arrange to have one official copy of transcripts from the schools where you have obtained your bachelors degree. The only transcripts that you need to send are those from schools where you obtained your highest degree.The only exceptions are if you are currently enrolled, or have taken, graduate school courses send those transcripts as well.

Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical scores
Three letters of recommendation
- Experiences that demonstrate a readiness for graduate level academic work
- Communication skills (oral and written)
- Maturity, independence and ability to work with others
- Ability to work with children and youth
- Interest and motivation for pursuing a career in school psychology.
A Personal Statement
- Experience in working with children or youth
- Professional objectives and plans upon completion of the program
- Self-evaluation of strengths and weaknesses relative to being a school psychologist
- Note that if applying online, these descriptions should be used to fill out the essay portion of the application. A second essay is not required for admission.
Personal Interview on the UWEC Campus:
- Be prepared to come to the campus for an in-person interview. Interviews are completed on either the first or second weekend of March.

Financial Aid
There is a limited number of graduate assistantships and fellowships available to qualified students who wish to pursue full-time graduate study leading to advanced degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
