Bike Patrol

Since the mid to late 80's UW-Eau Claire Officers have supplemented vehicle patrol with bicycle patrol. The bicycle has advantages over vehicle patrol in that the bicycle can often take many shortcuts not accessible by vehicles when responding to calls. In addition, it is a great tool for creating positive interaction between the officer and the community.
