Fair
Northern Wisconsin State Fair Law Enforcement Booth
From July 11-15, 2007, several officers with the UW-Eau Claire Police Department participated in law enforcement activities at the Northern Wisconsin State Fair in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. For several years now, this department has provided officers for duties at the fair’s Law Enforcement Booth. The officers enjoy working at the fair, which gives them an opportunity to interact with the public and provide crime prevention suggestions to children. The officers were involved with the free daily raffle of bicycles for children. In the attached photo, Officer Roger Sir helped present a bike and helmet to a lucky winner of the daily raffle. Officers gave away hundreds of UW-Eau Claire Police, Junior Officer badges, coloring books, state maps and traffic safety materials. The officers also assisted in re-uniting lost children with their parents.
Tipster Line
UW-Eau Claire Police Tipster Line
We have just established a new tipster line that became active at the start of the spring 2007 semester. The tipster line will provide people with another way to share information and/or report suspicious activities on campus. Callers can remain anonymous, which should encourage people who may not want to be identified to still contact law enforcement when they witness or learn about illegal activities. The anonymous tipster line number is 715-855-5555.
