Outside of Work:
- I was an amateur astronomer growing up and still enjoy "just looking" when I get a chance. I enjoy digging for dim objects through telescopes and have found all of the Messier objects at one point or another.
- I enjoy biking, hiking, and getting out in state and national parks. I like getting a feel for the geological history, flora and fauna of natural areas.
- I am glad I have been able to combine the above two activities through the UW-Madison Universe in the Park Program.
- My wife Sarah teaches piano privately out of our home on Eau Claire's southwest side. I enjoy classical music and play trombone and piano when I have the opportunity.
