“More than Meets the Eye” |
|
The newest show at the L.E.
Phillips Planetarium compares naked-eye views of celestial objects with the
views from binoculars, small/medium telescopes, and professional
observatories.
This show shows images of
these interesting objects and reveals where these cosmic wonders are located.
The audience is taken on a tour through the four seasonal skies, as visible
and invisible objects of the night sky are explored and explained in detail.
Finally, there is an opportunity to get answers to your astronomical
questions. This show is appropriate
for adults and ages 11 and up. The short version (used at our children’s
shows) is fine for all family members (age 4 and up). The show was funded by a
grant to the L.E. Phillips Planetarium from the American Girl Company,
through the Eau Claire Area Foundation. It was created by Loch Ness
Productions.
