Our Chapter
The UW - Eau Claire chapter of PRSSA was established in 2004-2005 by Dr. Ed Frederick, as faculty advisor, Barbara Arnold, as sponsoring professional member, and three students. The chapter has grown consistently since its creation. The organization is run by students, which consists of a five-member executive board and its members. The executive board positions include president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, and public relations director.
| "This organization has given me the perfect jump-start to my career. I'm able to share my passion with members and professionals as well as connect with them through PRSSA events. UWEC PRSSA has also given me countless tools to succeed in the future." - Anna Moegenburg, President | |
| "Through PRSSA I have developed and sharpened my skills to help me prepare for after graduation. I have found lasting friendships with other P.R. majors and connected with many P.R. professionals in the process. Overall, PRSSA has been a great experience and has allowed me to set myself apart from others in the same field." - Erica Rasmussen, Vice President | |
| "PRSSA gave me the opportunity to make connections, and network with actual professionals so that I can get a taste of what the real public relations world is like. I’ve also learned so many valuable skills when it comes to the business world that I would never have learned, had I not joined PRSSA." - Paige Skeie, Secretary | |
| "What I enjoy most about being a part of PRSSA is meeting and spending time with the people who have similar goals and interests. It’s a great feeling sharing thoughts and ideas with a group of people who enjoy doing the things I do. I never knew PRSSA could provide me with as many opportunities as it has this past year. The connections we are able to make just through one organization is unbelievable." - Jolie Lyfoung, Treasurer | |
| "PRSSA has given me the opportunity to start networking with my peers and professionals all across the United States, to gain experience on the executive board, and to constantly improve my PR skills in every way possible. My experiences with PRSSA will not be solely limited to my college career, but throughout my whole life." - Alaina Streblow, Director of Public Relations |
