SUMMER ORIENTATION

Who is eligible to register for Summer Orientation?

• You must be admitted to UW-Eau Claire as a new freshman for the summer or fall, 2008.
• You must have paid your $100 deposit.
• You must have OFFICIAL ACT or SAT scores on file. These must be sent from ACT or ETS, not from your high school.

How do you register?

After reading the instructions, click on "Enter the Orientation Reservation System" link at the bottom of this page. A dialogue box will appear that asks for your username and password.

• Your username is listed on the envelope enclosed with your Orientation mailing. (It is usually, but not always, the first 6 letters of your last name and your initials.)
• Your password is uwec (must be in lower-case letters) followed by a ? followed by your 4-digit PIN, found in the envelope sent with your Orientation mailing. (ex: uwec?1234)

Note: The reservation system will take several seconds to load. Please be patient.

What will you be asked?

1. Do you want to change your major?
   Your current major will be listed. If you want to change your major, you can do so at this time.
   Note: You will be assigned an advising group at Orientation based on your major, so it is important that this be accurate.
2. Do you need to take placement tests the day before your orientation date?
   If you are unable to take placement tests during Regional Placement testing in March or April, you must take them prior to Orientation. Twelve of the Orientation sessions will have testing the day before. If you indicate that you will need to take tests this summer, only the sessions that have placement testing the day before will be displayed.
3. What session do you wish to attend?
   Only sessions that are open will appear.
4. What if I want to change my Orientation date?
   You can change your session using this system until May 16. Just log-on and choose a new date.
