As an incoming transfer student you are required to complete a transfer orientation session before being able to register for courses. Students located in Wisconsin and Minnesota are required to attend in person

What Happens at Orientation?
During orientation you will have an opportunity to meet with an academic adviser, as well as learn how your courses transfer, how to use a UW-Eau Claire degree audit and hear more about such areas as Housing, Dining Services, your Blugold card and more.
If admitted for the 2016 winterim or spring term, information regarding orientation will be mailed in mid-October. Anyone admitted mid-October or later, will receive an orientation mailing within 2 to 3 business days after acceptance to the University.
If admitted for the 2016 summer or fall term, information regarding orientation will be mailed in mid-March. Anyone admitted mid-March or later will receive an orientation mailing within 2 to 3 days after acceptance.
The mailing will indicate the official day and time you may register for courses. We offer several orientation sessions so please select an orientation session prior to your registration date when possible. The mailing also contains information on our online orientation registration system.
- Pay your $100 tuition deposit. To avoid registration delays this must be paid in advance of your orientation session.
- Changing your major? If you plan to change your major, call the Advising Office at 715-836-5053 and indicate the change. Specific GPA's are necessary for certain majors.
- Marshfield Nursing/Second Degrees/BPS Students You are not required to attend a transfer orientation session. Separate information will be mailed about registering for courses.
