Summer Orientation is a required two-part program designed for new first year UW-Eau Claire students.
Phase I of Orientation is designed to introduce you to campus and allow you to register for classes. We will give you an opportunity to find out more about your academic program, meet with an adviser, and register for first semester classes. You will learn about university resources and campus life, including housing, dining services, student organizations, etc.
During orientation, there is a separate program for parents and guests. Parents and guests will have an opportunity to interact with fellow parents, current students, and university staff.

Students will meet in small groups with faculty/staff and a student mentor. You will learn about the many support services available at the university while having lunch on the mall. In the afternoon, you will meet with faculty in the department of your major (undeclared will meet with their advisers). You will have an opportunity to find your classrooms. Phase II concludes with a picnic on lower campus.
