SPECIAL NOTES:
This scholarship was established in memory of Jennifer Marks, who died tragically in a car accident in August, 2000. Jennifer graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1993. She earned her undergraduate degree from UW-Eau Claire in 1998, graduating with highest honors. She went on to earn her master’s degree in communication disorders, also from UW-Eau Claire, in the spring of 2000. Jennifer was working for the Tomah School District, travelling in between schools, when her car was struck by a train. Jennifer and a co-worker both died in the accident. Jennifer was “the kind of person who elevated everyone. She was kind, caring and a wonderful companion.” The recipient should write a thank you letter to the Marks Family, and send to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Office, S- 214.
