Foundation Scholarships

Johnson, Howard O. Secondary Education

To be eligible for the scholarship the candidates must: have been admitted to, the College of Education and Human Sciences at UW-Eau Claire; be of junior or senior standing; and have an exceptional grasp of the academic subjects he/she will teach in secondary education. Scholarship is a strongly preferred basis for the granting of this award. Preference for a student with strong communication skills.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask two members of the Department of Curriculum and Instruction faculty, who are familiar with your achievements at the University, to submit letters of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

The Education Scholarship Committee will select the recipient.

As determined by the Education Scholarship Committee.

The student will be informed by letter from the Associate Dean. The Associate Dean will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid Office.
