Foundation Scholarships

Berg, Faye Davis Teacher

The student must be an undergraduate education major and have completed, or be completing, the Elementary Block; be recommended for their student teaching experience; be a full-time student with a resident GPA of 3.5; have demonstrated high potential for success as a teacher. The award is to be applied to tuition/fees and other educational expenses while student teaching.

Qualifying students will receive an email in December with scholarship application information. Also, visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Complete the form and submit it to the Education Scholarship Committee. Ask at least one member of the Teacher Education Program who is familiar with your achievements at the University to submit a letter of recommendation to the Scholarship Committee.

Mid-February. Visit the webpage www.uwec.edu/coehs/forms/index.htm and go to Teacher Education Scholarships. Exact deadline will be in Scholarship Applications Directions.

The Education Scholarship Committee will select the recipient according to the criteria above. The award will be paid while the student is student teaching.

Student will receive letter from Dean, who will also complete and submit a “Scholarship Award Form” to the Financial Aid office.

The recipient should send a thank-you letter to Ms. Lynn Moline c/o UW-Eau Claire Foundation. The Scholarship Committee may divide the award but one scholarship is preferred.
