Graduate Student Research and Scholarly and Creative Activity Grants (GradRSCA)
A. Purpose and Overview:
The Graduate Student Research and Scholarly and Creative Activity (GradRSCA) Grants program is designed to support projects performed by graduate students. Funding is available to support expenses incurred by graduate students in accomplishing the scholarly activity.
Graduate Student RSCA grants will not exceed $500 and may cover supplies or travel expenses.
B. Eligibility:
Graduate students admitted to a graduate program who are engaged in research or other scholarly and creative activities are eligible to apply, and may receive one award per academic year. If undergraduate students are involved, the project may be eligible for funding under the Faculty/Student Research Collaboration or Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates programs.

The proposal consists of:
- The Cover Page (RSCA Form I)
- The Budget Form (RSCA Form II)
- A Narrative (2-4 page word-processed document), addressing each of the following:

- Objectives
- Project description (including approximate timeline) and significance
- Plan for disseminating results
D. Deadline for Application
Three copies of the proposal may be submitted to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at any time. Applicants should obtain signatures of endorsement from their faculty research mentor, their graduate program director and their department chair prior to submitting the proposal to the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.
