IRB training required prior to initiating Human Subject Research
All human subject researchers regardless of funding source are encouraged to complete human subject educational programs. Specific training modules relevant to an investigator’s area of research should be completed through our online tutorial. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) require all key personnel conducting human subject research with NIH funds to complete an educational program regarding the responsible conduct of human subjects research. Certification of completion of the educational program must be accomplished before an NIH award can be accepted by UW-Eau Claire.
In addition, all UW-Eau Claire instructors requiring students to perform human subject related research as part of normal course activities must also complete the relevant modules in the online tutorial and inform their students about all human subject research regulations of UW-Eau Claire.
