Undergraduate Students

Baccalaureate Programs

The Department of Nursing offers the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) through its baccalaureate programs. These include a traditional undergraduate nursing program, an accelerated program for second degree students, and a collaborative nursing program for RN students wishing to complete the BSN.

The undergraduate nursing programs are oriented toward the belief that a broad general education is an essential foundation for the preparation of nursing professionals. Students integrate content from the biological and social sciences, the humanities, and nursing theory and clinical practicum courses. The concepts of humanity, health, environment, and nursing are interwoven in curricula that clinically address nursing across the lifespan. Students work with individuals, families, and communities in a variety of clinical settings.
