The Department of Nursing offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Nursing, a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, as well as credit and non-credit continuing education programs for practicing nurses.

Courses are taught on the Eau Claire Campus and at our Marshfield site, through a cooperative relationship with Saint Joseph's Hospital. The Department of Nursing also is a partner in the UW-System Collaborative Nursing Program for non - baccalaureate-prepared Registered Nurses interested in earning the B.S.N. This RN-BSN program uses distance technology to deliver courses to multiple sites in Wisconsin.

A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree leads to many career options in the health care system. These may be in acute care hospitals, long term care agencies, home care, or community health settings among others. Students receive clinical laboratory experience in all of these settings. Besides using the resources of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) and Skills Lab, students also practice in the Nursing Center for Health which offers health care service to the community.
