EAU CLAIRE — A free parents' session addressing the role and influence of the family upon gifted children will be held 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center, Eau Claire. No registration is required.
Sally Walker, executive director of the Illinois Association for Gifted Education, will be available at the session. Walker is the author of "Survival Guide for Parents of Gifted Kids" (Free Spirit Publishing), which has won two national awards.
The session is being held in conjunction with the Celebrating Gifted Education Conference being hosted by University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Continuing Education June 19-20 at the Ramada Inn. Walker will be the featured speaker and differentiated learning will be the subject of this year's program.
