Receives Circle K Awards

         EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire classroom services specialist John Lee of the Media Development Center, recently received awards and recognition at the Circle K District Convention held in Green Bay. Circle K is a campus service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International.
         Lee, the UW-Eau Claire Circle K chapter adviser, was named Outstanding Faculty Advisor for the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District of Circle K and inducted into the Carthage Pullman Society of Circle K International, a highly select group that recognizes extraordinary service. Lee also received special recognition from the Wisconsin-Upper Michigan District of Kiwanis for his nine years of dedicated work with the Kiwanis District Committee on Circle K.
         "John is well known on campus for his strong work ethic and client service orientation," said Rick Mickelson, UW-Eau Claire Media Development Center interim director, "but few are aware of the nearly 700 hours of time that John has donated yearly to Circle K."
         Lee has been the adviser for Circle K at UW-Eau Claire since 1989 and has been named the Outstanding Faculty Advisor in the district on five previous occasions.
         "To be able to work with and see our future leaders develop their leadership skills through membership in Circle K is a reward in and of itself," said Lee. "If I am able to contribute in some way to their development, that makes it all worthwhile!"
