to Host
First Annual Government Day

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Student Senate will host activities
for its first annual Government Day from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12,
in Davies Center.
The event will offer students an opportunity to interact directly with their
elected government officials at the city, state and federal level.
Roundtables, interactive programs and panels throughout the day are tailored
to the theme "Building Future Leaders: Campus, Community,
Cooperation." The day will end with a keynote address by Lt. Gov.
Margaret Farrow at 7:30 p.m.
Following is a schedule of the day's activities:

9-10 a.m. - State and Federal Legislator Panel: "Fighting Terrorism Abroad and Rising Tuition at Home" Presenters: State Sens. Dave Zien and Rodney Moen; State Reps. Rob Kreibich and Larry Balow; and Mark Aumann, speaking on behalf of Rep. Ron Kind (Presidents Room)
