UW-Eau Claire has entered into an innovative partnership with the Eau Claire Area School District and CASE via the Boys and Girls Club of the Chippewa Valley to help area youth with their homework.
During a Monday news conference, Jim Vance, executive director of the Boys and Girls Club, and UW-Eau Claire Chancellor Donald Mash will join faculty and staff from the Boys and Girls Club, the university, the school district and CASE in announcing the program.
The news conference to announce and share details of the "Power Hour" homework program is slated for 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 11, at the Boys and Girls Club in downtown Eau Claire.
Following the formal announcement, there will be opportunities to take photographs and/or video of volunteers and area youth.
