Story Idea
Longtime music professor Ivar Lunde Jr. will
present a recital April 13, his last performance before
retiring from the university this spring. The composition recital, which
begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center,
will include a number of pieces that were written during Lunde’s 35 years
at UW-Eau Claire. If you want to talk with Lunde

Nearly 50 UW-Eau Claire students have now been called to active military duty,

Photo Opportunity
The 29th annual Viennese Ball will be held
Friday and Saturday nights, April 11 and 12,
in Davies Center. Activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. each night, continuing
until 1 a.m. The ball — which hosts 1,000 guests each night — showcases
the University Symphony Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble I, student and faculty ensembles,
and regional musicians. Photographers are welcome.
