McIntyre Library Exhibit. McIntyre Library and the department of geography and anthropology have collaborated to present an exhibit of photographs of archaeological sites provided by the University of Hartford Art School titled "Sanctuaries from Asia to the Americas." The photography exhibit, on display through May 13, celebrates the works of several University of Hartford students. The exhibit is housed on McIntyre Library's fourth and fifth floors.

Books for Africa Drive. The UW-Eau Claire chapter of the Golden Key International Honour Society will host a Books for Africa drive. The Society will collect used textbooks through May 16. Students, faculty, staff and community members are encouraged to drop off their gently used books in the bins located in Davies Center by the Service Center and University Bookstore. Spring Commencement. Commencement exercises for 1,166 UW-Eau Claire students will be held in Zorn Arena. Candidates from the College of Business, College of Education and Human Sciences, and College of Nursing and Health Sciences will receive degrees during a 9:30 a.m. ceremony. Candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences and candidates for master's degrees will receive degrees during a 2 p.m. ceremony. Jane Schauer, a cardiologist with the Heart Group of Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M., and a 1976 UW-Eau Claire nursing graduate, will deliver the "Charge to the Class" during both ceremonies. A reception for graduates and guests will follow each ceremony on the Central Campus Mall. (Reception rain site: Spruce-Tamarack Room, Davies Center.) Children's Planetarium Program. Today's show, "Mr. Genius Tours the Solar System," is a lighthearted introduction to astronomy aimed at children four and older.
