coffee and donutsFundraising Event for Hurricane Victims. The Social Greek Organizations (fraternities and sororities) will sell coffee and donuts on the Central Campus Mall. Sodexho Dining Services and Festival Foods are contributing food items at cost or free so that all proceeds can be sent directly to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina Disaster Fund. Central Campus Mall, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Also Sept. 13.

McIntyre Library Exhibit. Featuring "Faces from Honduras, Guatemala and Mexico, 1971," a double show of color and black and white photography by UW-Eau Claire alumnus Nile Ostenso. The photographs were taken during a monthlong drive through Central America in 1971. The exhibit, presented in celebration of national Hispanic Heritage Month, will be on display in the Grand Corridor of McIntyre Library through Sept. 30. Full story.

The Art Faculty Show, featuring works by art & design faculty members Li-Ying Bao and Susan O'Brien, currently is on display. Tim (Kieran Culkin) and Francis (Emile Hirsch) are best friends, doing their best to cause trouble without getting caught. Under the watchful eye of Sister Assumpta (Jodie Foster), the boys plot to unleash the ultimate prank, involving a man-eating cougar, their school's statue and a lot of cough medicine. Chuck Major preparing to get dunked during last year's "Day of Caring"United Way Day of Caring. The campus community is invited to participate in a variety of fun-filled (and fund-raising) activities during this year's United Way "Day of Caring."
