affairs, had his article titled "Engaging Students in Wisconsin"
published online in the College section of The New York Times. The
article
can be read online. Chancellor Donald Mash's State
of the University address was featured in the Aug. 26 Leader-Telegram
article "A cut above — UW-EC can excel despite reductions,
chancellor says." Mash also appeared
on WQOW-TV's Daybreak newscast Aug. 29 to discuss the size and quality
of the incoming freshman class and about the impact of budget cuts
on the university. He also was interviewed on WEAU-TV and WQOW-TV
Aug. 22 to discuss UW-Eau Claire's latest rankings in U.S. News and
World Report magazine. Katherine Rhoades, School
of Education, was interviewed on the Wisconsin Public Radio show "The
West Side," hosted by Mary Jo Wagner, Aug. 18. She joined Lt.
Gov. Barbara Lawton, who was introducing a statewide "Women =
Prosperity" initiative. Andy Soll, business
and student services, was quoted in the Aug. 22 Leader-Telegram article
"UW-EC riverbank project receives DNR approval." |
