Several
UW-Eau Claire student organizations are collecting items for
relief kits to be distributed to the people of Iraq. The kits
include basic hygiene supplies such as soap, new bath towels,
shampoo, toothbrushes, bandages and laundry detergent.
A drop off site will
be located in the lobby of Phillips Science Hall, with volunteers
staffing the site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. starting today (March
25) and continuing through April 4.
A second site will
be added next week in the lobby of Hibbard Hall. Volunteers
also will staff that site from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through April
4.
The UW-Eau Claire
Geography Club is coordinating the collection.
