Cray
Academy Begins 15th Year — Cray Academy
will celebrate its 15th year this summer with approximately 400
K-12 teachers from the region attending sessions in math, science,
language arts, reading and technology during the weeks of July 22
and 29 at Chippewa Falls Middle School.
Cray Academy's program is a state-and
nationally-recognized model for teacher professional development.
Workshops are devoted to improving teaching techniques, improving
student achievement, and integrating technology.
UW-Eau Claire has been a key partner with
the Cray Academy since its first year in 1988. UW-Eau Claire
faculty provide instructional leadership for the program.
Eagle's
View Ropes Course Offered — Classified staff
members are invited to experience the UW-Eau Claire Eagle's View
ropes course
Aug. 1 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fees are based on
group size. The first 16 people to register will have their fees
paid by the sponsor - the Classified Staff for Professional
Development.

Correction
— In the July 8 issue of the
Summer
Bulletin, the top photo of The Singing Statesmen's European
tour was labeled incorrectly.
The photo depicts The Statesmen at
Trinita dei Monti Church in Rome, not the Karlskirche in Vienna,
as it is labeled. The tour included performances at both
locations.
