Approved Changes in School of Human Sciences and Services
In accordance with university policy, notification is given of proposed revisions in the following courses in the School of Human Sciences and Services

Comprehensive Major: Music Therapy (Code 045-055), change in curriculum.
From: MUTX 449 -- 6 credits.
To: 6 credits total from MUTX 449 (1-6 credits) and/or MUTX 349 (1-4 credits).
Comprehensive Major: Environmental and Public Health (Code 640-050), change in course number.
From: ENPH 795 -- Research Methods in Environmental and Public Health.
To: ENPH 792 -- Research Methods in Environmental and Public Health.


Proposed Changes in Graduate Curriculum, College of Arts and Sciences
The following courses have been proposed as revised graduate course offerings. If you have questions or objections, inform Margaret Cassidy no later than 30 days from the date of publication in the Summer Bulletin. Additional information is available from the College of Arts and Sciences office.

BIOL 545: Invertebrate Zoology, 4 credits (change in catalogue description).
BIOL 609: Molecular Genetics, 4 credits (change in catalogue description and prerequisites).
MATH 518: Introduction to Complex Variables, 3 credits (change of prerequisite).


Employers seek out UW-Eau Claire graduates
Ninety-eight percent of alumni responding to a Career Services' survey have indicated that they are either employed or continuing their education a year after graduating from UW-Eau Claire.
     "More employers than ever are recruiting UW-Eau Claire students for internships and full-time jobs," says Jeanne Skoug, Career Services director.
     "The number of employers contacting our office is up 37 percent from a year ago," Skoug said. "Given the economy, employers are being careful to make the right hire. They have confidence in our students and graduates so they're seeking them out."
     The 2000-01 employment survey is based on a 67 percent response rate, or 1,103 responses from the 1,654 graduates.

MDC Interim Director Appointment Continues
Rick Mickelson will continue to serve as interim director of the Media Development Center until an interim director of the Teaching and Learning Technology Development Center is appointed.
