Youth Media Residency Planned — UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education and Marshfield Clinic Community Outreach will sponsor the Youth Press of Wisconsin Media Residency July 21-25 at UW-Eau Claire.
Approximately 50 youth and adults from Wisconsin will attend the event, which will focus on the use of media as an effective communication tool to build confidence, citizenship and empowerment.
     During the conference, participants will have the opportunity to practice specific media skills such as writing, photography, illustration and broadcast.
     Youth Press of Wisconsin, a program of Marshfield Clinic's Center for Community Outreach, is a growing media network that helps youth gain a voice in important issues through the use of local print, radio and television.
