Summer Session Film.
"The Hidden Fortress." (Japan 1958, directed by Akira Kurosawa, 126 minutes, black and white.) During Japan’s feudal wars, two cowardly farmers stumble upon a defeated army general (Toshiro Mifune) who is trying to get the last member of his ruling house — a willful young

Reportedly the inspiration for "Star Wars," the film classic is in Japanese, with subtitles. Davies Theatre, noon and 7 p.m. Also June 28.
