UW-Eau Claire staff members invited to meet with Ameriprise Financial representative
Andrew Court of Ameriprise Financial will be on campus this week to discuss the UW System's 403(b) program with UW-Eau Claire staff members. He will be available from 10 a.m. to noon June 24 and from noon to 2 p.m. June 25 in the Maple Room of Davies Center. If those times are not convenient, Court can be reached at 715-834-7280 to arrange a different meeting time.

Patti See, Academic Skills Center/Women's Studies, recently gave two lectures at Zhuhai College of Jinan University in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China. She presented "Smoke Signals/The First All Native American Film" May 27 and "Thelma and Louise and Contemporary Feminism" June 10. Works by See and Bruce Taylor, English, are included in the new anthology, "FAMILIES: The Frontline of Pluralism," published by Wising Up Press. Comprised of stories, memoirs and poetry by 35 contemporary authors, the collection explores the challenges and rewards of living with differences in genes, sensibility, abilities and disabilities, sexual orientation, race, religion and culture.

Condolences to the family of Leonard Gibbs. Gibbs, a UW-Eau Claire professor emeritus of social work, died June 13, after a courageous three-year battle with metastatic prostate cancer. Full obituary.
